I am grateful for the opportunity to be part of such an inspiring and positive learning experience. My next step is applying the new ideas I’ve learned, and I’m excited for the challenge ahead.
During the program, I realized that a successful education system centers on the unique personality of each child. Finland’s education success comes from focusing on students, not just the knowledge taught. Classrooms should be supportive spaces where every child feels valued, confident, and able to collaborate, solve problems, and discover their talents.
Knowledge is important, but it’s a tool for self-improvement, helping students grow and make the world better. Positive education, even amid the challenges in our country, should focus on recognizing strengths and encouraging success.
The emphasis should shift from exams to the teaching process, creating meaningful learning experiences where students feel valued, engaged, and empowered to think critically and creatively.
As teachers, we must be role models. Despite challenges, we should find the good within ourselves to see the good in our students and the world.
I am thankful for the Ukrainian army's defense of our homeland and for the support from Finland and the MovED by Mentoring program.
